🏆🎉 DOUBLE WINNERS! 🎉🏆

What a night at the 2026 English Fish & Chip Awards!

We’re absolutely thrilled to announce that we brought home not one, but two awards:

🥇 Angel Lane Chippie – Best Fish & Chip Shop in the North West

🌱 Sandgate Chippie – Most Sustainable Fish & Chip Shop

To receive this recognition on a national stage is an incredible honour and a testament to the hard work, passion and dedication of our amazing teams.

The day started with Dan taking part in the cook off challenge and ended with celebrations as our businesses were recognised amongst the very best in the country.

We’re also incredibly proud of The Chippie Van, which reached the finals in both Best Mobile Fish & Chips and Best Fish Fryer of the Year categories.

A huge thank you to every member of our team and to all of our fantastic customers. Your support makes achievements like this possible.

🏆 What a day! 🏆

Today is a huge day for all of us as we head to the 2026 English Fish & Chip Awards as finalists across multiple categories! 🎉

We’re incredibly proud that both Angel Lane Chippie and Sandgate Chippie have reached the finals, alongside The Chippie Van, representing Cumbria on the national stage.

The excitement starts this morning with Boss Dan taking part in the live cook-off challenge, putting his skills to the test against some of the very best in the industry. Then it’s time to swap the apron for a suit as we get ready for tonight’s awards ceremony. 🍟👨‍🍳➡️🤵

To be recognised among the country’s top fish and chip businesses is a fantastic achievement in itself, and we’re so grateful to our amazing team and loyal customers who have supported us every step of the way.

Whatever happens tonight, we’re incredibly proud of what we’ve achieved together.

Key Responsibilities:
*Serving customers in a polite and friendly manner
*Taking orders and handling payments (cash and card)
*Preparing and packaging food orders
*Maintaining cleanliness and hygiene standards
*Re-stocking supplies and assisting with basic food prep
*Working efficiently during busy periods

Requirements:
*Good communication and customer service skills
*Ability to work as part of a team
*A positive attitude and willingness to learn
*Reliable and punctual
*Previous experience is helpful but not essential (training provided)
