Well we have received an update… DENIED!

Supposedly the sign showing restricted parking is outside Fell Bar, not “upon entry” of Market Square so again we are left confused and unfairly denied compensation.

We have received so many comments of others who have been fined and we will be talking to the local herald on Tuesday to spread the news and hopefully make sure no one else gets misled by the “loading only” signs.

We are also seriously considering creating a petition to allow cars to park there after 6pm so the whole of Market Square follows the same rule. Will you show your support and sign?

🚨 WARNING CUSTOMERS 🚨

Unfortunately we’ve learnt the hard way that it’s not allowed to park on this side of the road outside Gianni’s. At 9pm on Thursday Antonio received a parking fine. We thought the loading restriction ended at 6pm but apparently that’s only for the left side of the pavement, even though the sign is also placed on the right side.

The warden mentioned that the right side (closest to the monument) is restricted parking at all hours - and yes they’re even checking late into the night which we think is absolutely ridiculous.

So if you often park outside, please now be aware that wardens are checking at all hours, and to avoid parking on that right side of the road.
