Lorraine's Tea Garden We are a 'weather dependent' traditionally styled tea garden serving hot & cold drinks, light snacks and a range of home baked cakes and scones.

Situated in Mungrisdale, at the foot of Souther Fell, with the river Glendermackin flowing past the garden.

Thank you all for the support & understanding of the situation we have been going through.
Chris is progressing steadily, albeit slowly, and we have made the decision to remain closed for this season to spend quality time with family.

On the 20th April Chris was admitted to Carlisle Hospital with heart defects.
He spent 3 weeks on the cardiac ward in Carlisle & then transferred to The Freeman Hospital in Newcastle where he underwent open heart surgery to replace his Mitral valve & a ring put on the Aortic valve.
Whilst recovering in ICU he was taken back into surgery & had a pacemaker fitted.
44 days later 2nd June he is now home, very tired & weak & taking one day at a time.

Update on Chris’s health!
Unfortunately there’s been another 5 day stay on the Cardiac Ward in Carlisle.
I’m pleased to say he is back home now but it does mean the Tea Garden is on hold for the time being.
