JOB POST SUMMARY
Job description:
ONNO CAFE in Penicuik is looking for friendly and reliable team members to join our team as Cafe Assistant / Server.
This is a flexible role where team members will support different areas of the café, including customer service, preparing drinks, serving food and helping in the kitchen when required.
Previous experience in a café, restaurant or food service environment is helpful but not essential, as training will be provided for the right candidates.
Duties and Responsibilities:
• Welcome customers and take orders
• Serve food and drinks in a friendly and efficient manner
• Prepare coffee and other hot or cold drinks
• Assist with basic food preparation when needed
• Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the café
• Handle payments and operate the till / POS system
• Restock items and support the team during busy periods
Requirements:
• Friendly and positive attitude
• Good communication and customer service skills
• Ability to work well in a team
• Comfortable working in a busy café environment
• Flexible availability including weekends if required
