A very proud moment for our little family business ❤️

Last night Pentland Hills Café Express was recognised as a finalist for Family Business of the Year at the Midlothian & East Lothian Business Awards 2026.

To have been selected as one of just five finalists from around 100 businesses is something we’re incredibly proud of.

We may not have brought the trophy home this time, but we came away with our finalist certificate, some wonderful new connections and an even bigger appreciation for how far our family business has come.

Thank you to everyone who has supported us over the years — our customers, family and everyone who continues to visit us in the Pentland Hills. ❤️

A lovely evening and definitely one to remember.

🍯 The cake that started it all.

Our Honey Cake has been the heart of our café since day one.

Made from mama’s treasured recipe, it’s rich in honey, beautifully balanced, and never too sweet.

Every Eastern European family has their own version. This one is ours—and we’re proud to be sharing it with you. ❤️
