I wouldn’t normally put something in my business page that asks for money. However I saw this and thought about if it was one of my children. And if it was one of my children, could one of these kits save them? Maybe not, but maybe they have a better chance of surviving. These kits are £100 each. Not much really to potentially save a life.

This morning, a woman walked into my shop just to order flowers… and the minute I saw her, I recognised her.
It was Lisa John McNab’s mum.
I went straight over and told her what I thought: what an absolutely inspirational woman.
We ended up chatting for nearly an hour about John, who was only 22 years old when he was murdered on Great Junction Street in Leith.
John wasn’t just Lisa’s son.
He was her boy. Her best friend. Her everything. 💔
She wants something positive to come from something so utterly horrific.
And most importantly, she wants people to know who John McNab was.
Not just a name in a newspaper.
Not just another statistic.
And somehow, through unimaginable pain, this woman has found the strength to turn that pain into power.
In John’s memory, Lisa is raising money for emergency bleed control kits, and she wants them in communities right across the UK. She’ll travel anywhere to help make that happen.
Each kit costs around £100 but Lisa isn’t asking you to donate £100.
Even £5 helps.
Because all those fivers add up to another kit. And one day, that kit could help save somebody else’s boy, somebody else’s best friend, somebody else’s everything.
