We don’t believe food needs loads of unnecessary things added to it. We care about what goes on your plate — good, wholesome ingredients, proper cooking and food made with care ❤️
Our stocks are made right here on site, from good ingredients, and we take the time to do things properly. No shortcuts just for the sake of it!
We also believe in supporting the people around us. We use local suppliers, local bakery products and local makers, and every time you buy from us, you’re helping support a little network of local people — including our wonderful cake lady, who makes a living from the cakes you enjoy with your coffee 🍰☕️ Behind every coffee, cake, lunch and slice of toast is a small team of people who genuinely care!
We’re a very small, independent, not-for-profit business, and it’s been three tough years. We’ve worked incredibly hard to build something that’s more than just a coffee shop — it’s a place for people, creativity, community and local talent ❤️
We’re also proud to be neurodiverse-friendly and to support neurodiverse staff. Creating a genuinely supportive workplace takes extra patience, understanding and care, but that’s part of our ethos and something we believe is important. We kindly ask for your patience and understanding as we continue learning, growing and supporting one another 🫶
