The Green Man is looking for another lovely person to join our Front of House team!

We’re a busy, highly regarded food-led country pub and are looking for an experienced, confident and friendly member of waiting staff to join our fabulous team.

This position would particularly suit someone who genuinely enjoys hospitality — someone bubbly, personable and welcoming, who loves looking after guests and understands the importance of great service.
The hours we need help with are: Friday evenings, Saturday evenings & Sunday lunchtimes

As we are a busy food destination, a minimum of one year's waiting experience in a similar food-led pub or restaurant is essential. You’ll need to be comfortable working a busy service, taking orders, serving food and drinks and, most importantly, making sure our guests have a really enjoyable time with us.

Due to our lovely rural location and the finishing times involved, you will need your own transport / be able to drive.

In return, you’ll be joining a really friendly, supportive team in a great working environment, with a share of our monthly tips on top of your hourly pay.

The sun may still be shining (well its back again this next week), the evenings may still be light and Christmas might feel a little way off… but behind the scenes at The Green Man, plans are already well underway for some of our favourite nights of the year.

Our Festive Christmas Dinner Dances are back for 2026!
And, if you know, you know…

Previous years have been absolutely fantastic, with our luxury heated marquee transformed into a shimmering, sparkling Christmas wonderland, fabulous festive food, plenty of fizz, laughter and some seriously impressive moves on the dance floor!

And of course, we’ll once again be joined by our great friends and brilliant live band The Saviours of Soul, who certainly know how to get a Green Man Christmas party started.

Whether it’s your annual night out with friends, a festive celebration with family, or the work Christmas party everyone will actually want to come to, we think The Green Man might just be the place to be this Christmas.

So while we’re not quite suggesting you put the Christmas tree up just yet… It might be time to dust off those dancing shoes and get your Christmas party in the diary!

We are looking for a full time chef de partie to join our friendly, family-run team at The Green Man Partridge Green.

We are a busy, highly regarded, country independent Chef owned pub serving modern British, locally sourced food with an emphasis on Seafood, Fish, Game and seasonal produce.

Our kitchen is large, bright and airy and we have a well-established team that we are looking to expand. We are looking for someone with a passion for food and an eye for detail.

Previous experience in a similar pub restaurant environment, in a similar role for minimum of 1 year, is essential, and further training can be provided to grow your career.

You will be expected to provide support to our other chefs, prepare plates, desserts & cold food as a starting point.

The job will entail working lunchtimes, evenings, weekends and occasional bank holidays but not including Christmas Day or New Years Day. Standard working hours can be flexible Wednesday to Sunday.

Access to transport is essential due to our beautiful location.
Competitive salary will be commensurate on experience and skill level.

It’s that time again!

Our dates are set, band is booked and the menu is tweaked and sounds delicious, and we are ready to Party!

We love a good Christmas party here at The Green Man and every year we are amazed how great these evenings are and love to see so many of you returning for 2026 – obviously the word is spreading as we fill up for these years Festive Season!

We can’t wait to spoil you with our Christmas Dinner Dance Celebrations, which will be even more unforgettable than last year! We hope you are ready for a wonderful evening of dancing, laughter and spending precious time celebrating with friends and family and look forward to welcoming you back once again and for those visiting for the first time, you are in for a treat!

For those of you booking and paying your deposit of £20pp, by 1st September, you will be upgraded to a welcome VIP glass of fizz per person on arrival.

For those booking and paying a £15pp by 1st August 2026 we are offering the ticket price at £69.50 per person

The evenings start with Drinks from 6.30pm, Dinner Served at 7.15pm prompt, with our fantast band starting at 9pm, last orders at 11.30pm and Carriages at midnight.
