Serving coffee inside Crookston Castle… what an experience ☕🏰

Brain Fuel Coffee Cart had the pleasure of being part of the Friends of Crookston Castle community fun day, and it was honestly such a brilliant event.

From setting up the cart to serving drinks inside the castle, this was definitely one of those days I’ll remember.

☕ BRAIN FUEL UPDATE ☕

I just wanted to give everyone a wee update because I’ve been getting lots of messages asking when I’ll be open at Barshaw Park.

I started the licence process back in February and I’ve been trying to do everything the right way from the start.

The cart is ready, I’m ready, and I honestly can’t wait to get started properly. But at the moment I still can’t trade at Barshaw Park until my Street Trader’s Licence is officially granted.

One of the issues was around the pitch being within 500 metres of a school when measured in a straight line. Because of that, it looked like the application might have needed to go to a council meeting in August or September, which would have meant most of the summer being gone before I could even open.

After looking closely at the licence condition, we noticed that the restriction only applies during certain school times, Monday to Friday during school term. We have now asked to amend the hours so Brain Fuel would avoid those restricted times and hopefully bring the application in line with the council’s policy.

It’s been frustrating because I’ve put so much into trying to build Brain Fuel. Summer is a massive time for a small coffee cart, so I’m really hoping this means I can get open soon.

I’m not asking for any rules to be ignored. I just want to do things properly, get the licence sorted, and start serving coffee at Barshaw Park.

Thank you to everyone who keeps messaging, supporting me and asking when I’ll be open. It means a lot and I’ll update you as soon as I know more.

💛 Today Brain Fuel Coffee Cart had the privilege of supporting a charity event for Chris’s House at Achieve Fitness in Kirkintilloch.

We served iced drinks to help refresh everyone after their workout, and it was amazing to be part of such a positive event for such an important cause 🧊☕💪

This was about more than coffee.

It was about community, support, awareness and showing up for people who may be struggling.

A massive well done to everyone who took part today, and thank you for having Brain Fuel along 💛

Brain Fuel Coffee Cart will be in Kirkintilloch tomorrow at Achieve Fitness for a private charity event supporting Chris’s House.

We’ll be serving iced drinks to help refresh everyone taking part after their workout 🧊☕💪

It’s a privilege to be part of an event supporting such an important charity and helping raise awareness around su***de prevention.

A few months ago, Brain Fuel was just an idea.

Today I was serving coffee at a business event, working alongside Trail Grazers and continuing to grow something that started with a simple idea and a lot of determination.

The voiceover in this video is from Bobby Broon, and the message couldn't be more true. You'll never have everything figured out, but if you believe in something, sometimes you just need to take that first step and see where it leads.

☕ BRAIN FUEL UPDATE ☕

Although I won't be at Brodie Park this weekend, there's still plenty happening behind the scenes.

While I await a further update regarding my street trading application and future park trading locations, Brain Fuel will continue attending booked events and private functions.

I've got some exciting bookings coming up over the next few months:

It's great to see Brain Fuel continuing to grow and being invited to such a variety of events, from business lunches and charity fundraisers to festivals and private celebrations.
