This Saturday 10th from 8pm - Anton O'Donnell

Little bio from Anton-

If you like your Americana/Alt. Country of the well-constructed, articulate and imaginative variety, this is definitely for you.” Rocking Magpie

“I get so many submissions of good Americana music that it’s rare to hear something that sounds different and new, but Anton’s Tomber Sur PRW is most definitely special.” Geoff Wilbur’s Music Blog

Blessed with a smoky, whiskey-soaked voice redolent of the great soul singers of Stax & Muscle Shoals, and armed with just an acoustic guitar & harmonica, Anton adds incisive lyrics to sweet melodies to create something that can reduce a rowdy bar to awed silence or rouse the most sedate venue to fever pitch.

Reviews have been consistently impressive from his near-constant performances and tours. In the Netherlands his solo sets were praised by ‘The Blues Alone’ for their “convincing, spicy and catchy songs... that contain confrontational strong lyrics.” Hannah Compton of ‘Building Our Own Nashville’ writes that his won’t be a name she forgets any time soon.

This has also been the case in the press. The articles focussing on latest album Tomber Sur PRW are no exception. “He doesn’t sound like anyone else on the market,” writes John Apice of Americana Highways, highlighting the distinctive tone of his voice. Geoff Wilbur calls the record “gritty, heartfelt, immersively engaging” and “a great beginning to end listen.

We’re pouring a Swiss Water Process Colombian decaf from Nuach Coffee.

Please allow us to explain what actually makes Swiss Water different?

THE SWISS WATER PROCESS

Most of us know that coffee naturally contains caffeine. The challenge with decaf is removing that caffeine without stripping away the flavours that make the coffee taste good.

Swiss Water does it without chemical solvents.

Green coffee beans are soaked in a specially prepared coffee extract, allowing the caffeine to move out of the beans through a process called diffusion.

The extract is then passed through carbon filters, which trap the caffeine while allowing the flavour compounds to remain in the extract.

That flavour-rich water can then be reused to gently remove caffeine from more coffee.

The result -

Caffeine is removed while much more of the coffee’s natural character is retained.

🇨🇴 TASTE

This is a washed Colombian, medium roast, made from Castillo, Caturra, Colombia and Typica varieties.

And it’s got a seriously good flavour profile:

Apple — a bright, clean fruitiness at the start.

Lemon — a gentle citrus acidity that keeps the cup lively rather than flat.

Caramel — brings sweetness and a rounded, silky middle.

Milk chocolate — gives the finish its smooth, comforting body.

The combination makes this a sweet, clean and balanced decaf rather than the heavy, dull cup that decaf sometimes gets a reputation for.

You get the brightness from the fruit, sweetness from the caramel and a soft chocolate finish.

And because it’s a washed Colombian, the cup stays particularly clean and crisp.

Specialty coffee flavour, just with the caffeine turned way down.

Come and give it a try at Nomads’.

Live at Nomads ✨

On Friday 18th September, Elodie Payan will be joined by guitarist Timmy Allan for an evening of jazz and Brazilian music.

Originally from the south of France and now based in Scotland, Elodie brings together her love of jazz and Brazilian music, with a repertoire spanning jazz standards, bossa nova, samba and choro. These different musical worlds have shaped her sensitivity as a singer and her approach to interpretation.

She’ll be joined by award-winning Scottish jazz guitarist Timmy Allan, from Paisley, whose musical voice draws on his background in folk, jazz and improvisation. His expressive playing brings a remarkable emotional depth to each tune.

Expect an intimate evening of beautiful melodies, poetic lyrics, improvisation, and the joyful, sensual and syncopated rhythms of Brazilian music.

ESPRESSO ALERT 🇮🇩

We’re excited to introduce our new Indonesia – Takengon, Aceh espresso from Nuach Coffee.

🌱 Origin: Takengon, Aceh, Indonesia
👨‍🌾 Producer: Iwan Patra & smallholder farmers
🫘 Varieties: Catimor & S. Lini
🍒 Process: Natural

Sweeet, fruity and beautifully rounded, with tasting notes of:

🍯 Vanilla Toffee – smooth, rich sweetness
🍑 Nectarine – juicy stone-fruit character
🍇 Grape – a gentle fruity finish

The natural process allows the coffee cherries to dry with the fruit still around the beans, helping develop those deeper, sweeter and more fruit-forward flavours.

We’ve dialled this coffee in specifically for espresso, creating a shot that is sweet, smooth and full of character — equally delicious on its own or with milk.

Come and try our new espresso at Nomads’.

Taste the journey. Discover something different.

Fraser McFarlane - 1st August Saturday from 8pm

Not Always. Not Never. is a musical project from Paisley-based singer/songwriter Fraser McFarlane.

Blending a love of storytelling with a punk-influenced indie-rock sound, McFarlane wears his influences on his sleeve, often name-checking favourite American songwriters Craig Finn, Brian Fallon, Dan Campbell and Jason Isbell. Discerning listeners may also hear shades of indie rock artists closer to home—Martha, Fresh, ME REX and Dublin’s CHEWIE.

Not Always. Not Never. released a first single, Grace, in late 2024. Since then, two further singles, April Showers and Dance With Me, as well as a live EP recorded at the ancient Paisley Abbey followed in 2025. The single Either Way was released in January 2026, followed in May by the (Official Unofficial) Scotland World Cup song, Think Again.

With plans in place to perform more and further afield in late 2026, as well as eventually to debut a full band, McFarlane is working hard to develop the Not Always. Not Never. live experience and making plans for future releases.
