At last, some decent weather and thank you to everyone who came out tonight. A Shame about the new sea wall build but that is out of our control. We look forward to seeing you next week when the air show will all be over and we can get back to some sort of normality.

Today’s the day – the start of the English Riviera Airshow weekend! ✈️

It’s set to be a fantastic event but please be aware of the continued emergency road closure of Victoria Street after masonry fell from a building. The emergency closure will also mean that Hyde Road will be closed from 2pm today and 10am on Saturday and Sunday.

It’s important that you plan your route to the event site in advance and leave extra time for your journey. We strongly encourage using public transport, walking or cycling. If you are travelling by car, consider car sharing where possible.

The event village opens at 2pm today and flying starts at 6:45pm with the iconic Red Arrows kicking off the show in spectacular style. We look forward to seeing you there!
