😍Flo's Impact Report 2026, now available! 😍(link in bio)

Ever wondered how Flo's supports the community and drives positive change?

Our annual Impact Report is now ready to read on our website, where you can find out about the work we do, how we create change, and the real-life impact we're making.

From the number of families we support with maternity advocacy, the free meals we offer, the amount of single-use plastics we save from landfill, the free events we host, and the volunteers we work with and support - it's all in there.

We're extremely proud of what we achieve in our little corner of OX4 with your support and generosity. We hope you'll feel like you're part of something incredible when you read it.

🙏Thank you for being part of it - together we can do more. 🙏

🌿 We’re recruiting at Flo’s! 🌿 We’ve got three very different opportunities open and we’d love to hear from people who might be excited to join our team.

✨ Administration & Communications Assistant: 30.4 hours per week | Permanent | £28,296 pro rata (£14.32/hour) | Based at Flo’s, Monday–Friday

A really varied role bringing together administration, communications, room bookings, site support and practical problem-solving.

🤰Equal Start Oxford Trainee: 19 hours per week | 9-month fixed term | £27,783 pro rata (£14.06/hour)

A hands-on traineeship combining community work, administration, events and maternity advocacy support. This is a learning opportunity, so you don’t need formal experience in everything.

🔧 Caretaker: 15 hours per week | Permanent | £27,783 pro rata (£14.06/hour) | Based at Flo’s

A practical, hands-on role helping to keep Flo’s safe, clean, welcoming and in good working order. You’ll be looking after the building and shared spaces, carrying out routine checks and minor maintenance, supporting health and safety, monitoring supplies, helping with room set-ups and working with contractors and colleagues.

The role is based at Flo’s, with 12 hours spread across four days, ideally mornings, plus 3 hours worked flexibly for planned works and events. This may occasionally include weekends.

All three roles are being recruited on a rolling basis, so there isn’t a fixed closing date at the moment. We may close recruitment once we’ve received enough suitable applications, so please do apply as soon as you’re ready.

📩 To apply, send your CV and covering letter to [email protected].

As the final week of the summer holidays comes to a close, we’re feeling grateful to be part of such a wonderful local community.

When local businesses and community organisations contribute what they can, it creates something really special. Savona Foodservice's generous food donations have helped make sure local children can enjoy a good meal when they come to visit the park during the school holidays. We’ve loved being able to share that food, welcome and community spirit here at Flo’s.

Thank you, Savona Foodservice for being part of it. ❤️

We give children space to develop confidence, independence and resilience, while being supported by a caring and experienced team. ❤️

Flo’s will be closed all day on Tuesday 1st September.

We’re doing something a little unusual: we’re closing for a whole day so our team can slow down, come together and think about what we do and why we do it.

For more than three years, Flo’s has remained open throughout the year, even on Christmas Day and New Year’s Day. So, as summer comes to an end and the season turns towards autumn, we’re ready to slow the pace a little.

Flo’s is a busy place, and we don’t often get the chance to pause. This day gives us space to learn, strengthen our relationships, reflect on our work and think about how we can keep making Flo’s a welcoming, useful and positive place for our community.

We’re sorry for any inconvenience, and we hope you’ll understand why this day matters to us.

We’ll be back open as usual on Wednesday 2nd September. 💚
