Sharing another delicious looking meal from one of our volunteers made using farm produce 😋

"Dinner tonight was about 95 per cent material grown at the farm: spiced roast potatoes with chard and sorrel; potatoes roasted with cumin, coriander, and oregano; greens cooked down with onion, garlic and chilli; finished with a cucumber and spring onion salad."

Thanks for sharing Andrew!

What have you been making with your farm produce? We'd love to see!

Calling all community growers!

We're very excited to share that we will be delivering another Gardeniser Pro course this autumn in partnership with Arbor Projects London.

This 5 day course will be run here at the farm, with the opportunity to visit other local community gardens.

This course dives in depth into everything you need to develop and run a successful city farm, community garden or school garden project.

From learning how to access land, manage volunteers or develop sustainable income streams - this is the course for you!

Megan Henwood and Natureboy (Dave Noble) bring their song-craft to the intimate setting of the Yurt at the Oxford City Farm as a fundraiser for all the amazing work that goes on at the farm.

Megan Henwood, is Oxfordshire’s very own singer songwriter who brings her unique twist to the world of folk music.

In 2009 she won the BBC Radio 2 Young Folk Award. Megan has released 3 albums and 3 E.Ps and performed at many notable festivals such as Fairports Cropredy Convention and Glastonbury.

"Brings to mind both Laura Marling and Joni Mitchell, gently impassioned folk enveloped in a swirl of acoustic strumming and elegant orchestration – irresistible."
DIRECT CURRENT MAGAZINE, CHICAGO

Local Oxford music lovers will know of Dave Noble (Natureboy) through playing with bands such as Papa Nui & Ranglin’ but might be unaware of his Natureboy output. It is coming up to 25 years since his first release, which will be celebrated with a new release and re-releases from the back catalogue.
This concert is a rare opportunity to experience this music performed live.

For this exclusive intimate concert, Steph will be accompanying Natureboy on harp, vocals and piano to bring his music alive with lush, yet stripped back arrangements.

Megan also featured on a Natureboy album singing a duet on the title track, Setting of the Sun, which they will perform live together for this concert.

Set to be a unique intimate afternoon/evening of sumptuous music by top local singer songwriters.

It's almost time for our Autumn Festival!

It's coming up fast on Saturday October 3rd and we need your help - do you have any apples to spare?

If you have an apple glut and you could drop them off during our open sessions (Friday & Saturday 10am-1pm) we would be super grateful - we need them for apple pressing on festival day.

And if you want to bring along your own apples to press at the Autumn Festival, please do!
