Sometimes the best way to explain what we do is to let our couples do the talking. ❤️

This was filmed at the end of Friday’s wedding, after the food had been served and the celebrations were well underway. Hearing them describe their experience so warmly—and seeing how happy they were—meant more than I can say.

Thank you both for trusting with such an important part of your day. It was an absolute pleasure to cook for you, your families and your guests.

Planning an Oxfordshire wedding in 2027 and looking for Indian food that feels personal, generous and full of flavour? Please get in touch—I would love to hear about your plans.

After years of working towards this… she’s finally here. ❤️

Meet Sheila. ❤️

Our newest team member.

She’ll be carrying everything from spice boxes and serving platters to wedding feasts and curry boxes, joining us on every adventure from here on.

To most people she’s just a van.

To us, she’s another little milestone, another dream ticked off the list, and another chapter in the Tikka & Tadka story.

Welcome to the family, Sheila.

A huge shoutout to Stuart OX One Branding Co for putting together the branding on the van.

A wedding in a field, a gazebo full of family and friends, colourful bunting — and an Indian buffet at the heart of it all.

Flossie & Oliver chose samosa chaat, matar paneer, dal, aloo gobi, rice and naan for their wedding meal. Relaxed, generous and full of flavour.

Indian food doesn’t only belong in grand wedding venues. It works beautifully for relaxed countryside celebrations too. 🤍

And judging by the number of people who came back for seconds, I think the guests agreed.

There really isn’t a better feeling than hearing these words at the end of a wedding day. ❤️

Flossie & Oliver, thank you for trusting us to be part of such a beautiful celebration. From serving samosa chaat under a countryside gazebo to seeing everyone enjoy the buffet, it was a day we’ll remember for a long time.

Congratulations to you both—we wish you a lifetime of happiness together. 🥂

If you’re planning a 2027 wedding and are looking for authentic Indian catering, we’d love to hear about your plans.

Of all the days to book my food hygiene inspection… it had to be the hottest day of the year! 🥵☀️

Thankfully, all the hard work paid off because Tikka & Tadka has been awarded a 5⭐ Food Hygiene Rating!for 3rd time in a row. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Running a catering business means there’s so much more going on behind the scenes than just cooking. Food safety, cleaning, temperature records, allergen management and paperwork… it’s all part of the job, every single day.

Receiving a 5-star rating is something I’m really proud of, and it’s a reflection of the care and attention that goes into every part of the business.

Safe to say, today’s cup of tea can wait… I’m celebrating this one with an ice cream instead! 🍦😄

The people who keep a small business going are not always the ones standing in front of the camera.

Sometimes they are the ones carrying boxes, collecting forgotten ingredients, listening to menu ideas for the tenth time, looking after the children when an event runs late, and saying, “It will be fine,” when I am quite certain it will not be fine.

Sam has been the quiet backbone behind Tikka & Tadka from the beginning, but more importantly, he is the dad who shows up for our girls in all the ordinary ways that matter.

No grand Father’s Day speech from me today.

Just a thank you for the lifts, the lists, the last-minute rescues, the patience, and for always making sure the rest of us are looked after.

Happy Father’s Day ❤️

A Saturday night in Wolvercote serving curry one plate at a time.

The menu was full of familiar favourites — butter chicken, Dhaba-style chicken, dal and aloo gobi — but the best part was the room itself.

People arriving with their neighbours, finding a seat, going back for another spoonful and staying long after their plates were empty to have a proper chat.

There is something very lovely about cooking for a small community like this. No grand occasion, no elaborate setting — just a village hall full of people, warm food and plenty of conversation.

Thank you, , for such a welcoming evening. 🤍

Absolutely no nutritional story to tell here — just childhood.

The kind of colourful snack that appeared at parties, in steel bowls, and disappeared much faster than it should have. No one really asked questions. You just ate the pink ones first and carried on.

Some things don’t need reinventing. They just need a little appreciation.

If you know, you know.

Normal people: mango slices, plate, fork, dignity.

Me: same plate, very different energy.

Mango season is not the time to pretend we are elegant.

The seed has to be dealt with properly, the best bits cannot be wasted, and sometimes the mango decides how the reel is going to go.

Comment below- are you a neat mango eater or a full commitment mango eater?Tag all mango lovers 😀😀
