Do you ever get imposter syndrome?

I’ve been making cakes for 5 and a bit years now (what!?) and I taught myself how to decorate and stack cakes. Lots of practice.
learning what works and what doesn’t. The precise gram weight per sponge layer, the right consistency buttercream to pipe and a totally different consistency to cover and fill a cake. Mixing colours, learning what piping nozzle to use for each petal. And yet I still doubt myself sometimes! Sometimes, I question myself, am I good enough? Like this person is paying me to make their cake for their special occasion, putting their trust in me and what if I get wrong, what if they don’t like it etc etc.
Any way…..
….Why do we do it to ourselves?
Especially when there’s probably a really mediocre man out there doing their job, half arsed and I bet they’re not questioning themselves!

Thought I’d show my face on here as it’s been a while!

I love receiving flowers, giving flowers, growing flowers and making flowers out of buttercream!
The trick is to get the consistency of the buttercream just right, not too stiff and definitely not too soft!
But out of all the jobs I HATE making buttercream! Oh and the dishes 🫠
