*** IMPORTANT NOTICE ***

Kitchen closed in The Boxwood Café on Saturday 28th February 2026.

Due to unforeseen circumstances, the kitchen in The Boxwood Café will be closing from 11:45am tomorrow morning (Saturday 28th February 2026)

The Café will be open after this time, but for coffee and cake only. No lunchtime menu will be available.

Please accept our apologies. We hope to be fully open as usual on Sunday 1st March 2026.

Easter Opening Hours The Boxwood Café:
• Good Friday (18th April) 9 - 4:30

(The kitchen closes 30 minutes before closing for food orders)

Christmas Opening Hours for The Boxwood Café and the Garden Centre.

Wednesday 6th November 2024 - The Boxwood Café is closed today. Due to a burst water main outside the Garden Centre on Barnwell Road, we currently have no water. The Garden Centre is open as usual.

Anglian Water are working on the problem as I type so we’re hopeful we will be open as usual tomorrow.

What a week of weather!?

Last Saturday warm and sunny. The rest of the week torrential rain and flooding. This Saturday back to warm and sunny ☀️

We are open as usual and thankfully haven’t been affected by the floods but Barnwell Road is closed at the moment further along from us around Oundle Mill, Barnwell Country Park and the Marina.

You can still get to us via the A605, but if you are trying to come from Oundle along Barnwell Road, you will be met with a very large pond of water across the road just before you get to the Country Park and Marina. (Saturday 28/09/24)

I watched vehicles driving through said pond this morning but I’m not sure it’s worth attempting when there is another route that just takes a few extra minutes.

Next weekend is the long Easter Weekend!!

We are open Good Friday, Easter Saturday and Easter Monday, but we will be closed on Easter Sunday (Sunday Trading rules mean we have to close, but a wonderful excuse to spend the day with friends and family!)

Date for your diaries - both the Garden Centre and The Boxwood Café will be closed on Tuesday 12th March whilst our car park is being re-gravelled.

We will only be closed on Tuesday and re-open as usual on Wednesday 13th March.
