This Sunday, alongside 3 friends, I will be taking on a 14 mile trail run… The Dartmoor Beast, across tough, hilly terrain & climbing up onto elevations including Yes Tor & High Willhays ⛰️

I’ve trained for months. I’ve run the miles, tackled the hills, pushed through tired legs & kept going on the days when I really didn’t fancy putting my trainers on 🏃‍♀️

I’m doing it for Hospiscare. For the people who need their care at one of the hardest times imaginable. For the families who need support, reassurance & kindness alongside their loved ones & to help make sure that care is there when somebody needs it 💙

When it gets tough on Sunday… I know there will be moments when it does — that’s what I’ll be thinking about ❤️

If you’ve been meaning to sponsor me but haven’t quite got around to it yet, now is the time. The tapering has officially begun & suddenly it all feels very real 🥹⛰️

Tonight I only needed 3 slow miles, so Daisy came along with me. We took it nice & steady, although, living where we do, we still managed to sneak a few hills in! 😂

After months of training, building up the miles and preparing myself for what’s ahead, there’s now just ONE more run, a sports massage & lots of stretching between me & the 14-mile Dartmoor Beast 😳

A little snapshot of life at the shop this week, more fundraising for Hospice with only 1 more week until Louise’s big Dartmoor challenge, trailing our new Autumn drinks, doggie friends & as always our lovely customers ❤️

We met the newest members of the Coffee Bank team! Laura is fostering these beauties for a short while, giving them a loving home, we enjoyed having them visit the shop… they are sooo cute!! ❤️

Poor Kelly had a headache & was worried it would develop into a migraine, she rocked a cooling head patch to be able to continue working… such dedication!! To ensure she was on brand we stamped her with our logo!! 😂

We made cute drinks for cute birthday celebrations… love the matching nails & umbrella!! ☂️

We made lots of Roastworks’s speciality coffee, we trialed & tested our new Autumn drinks of which 3 of the 4 can be made hot or cold… we are officially launching them this week so keep an eye on our socials!! 🍂🎃☕️

We had new Macarons as part of our cake delivery, handmade by the very talented James from James Gardiner… you must treat yourself to one next time you pop in!! 🤤

And finally… a BIG thank you to everyone that has already donated to Hospiscare for Louise’s 14 mile Dartmoor Beast event!! 🏃‍♀️

Louise has been training really hard & with only this week to go her training sees her tapper into shorter run distances to prepare for the challenge ahead, collectively we are only £140 away from £1000, can you help us reach our target? 🩵

Hospiscare is about helping people living with life-limiting illnesses receive the care, comfort & dignity they deserve towards & at end of life. It’s about supporting families through some of the hardest days they’ll ever face & making precious time together as comfortable and meaningful as possible.
