Thank you so so much for the overwhelming amount of kind, encouraging messages, it's so wonderful to hear how much of a blessing the cafe has been to you!!!!! Thank you to all of you who have supported this community cafe so faithfully!!!

We also wanted to take the time to thank all those involved over the years in making Cafe Life happen day to day... it has been a truly mammoth task!

Thank you to Hannah who inspired the idea, to Nigel, Carol, Pippa, and of course to Ruth for their dedication in managing the cafe over the years.

Thank you to our committee of volunteers who’ve tirelessly worked to oversee the cafe, keeping up with compliance and legislation, managing the finances and governance.

Thank you to all the staff that have worked with us, you have been such a blessing to us and all at Cafe Life.

Thank you to the volunteers, the wonderful volunteers, who gave of their time and energy to help make what the cafe is today.

Thank you to Enable and Derwen College for working with us to see young adults grow in their workplace skills. It grieves us to see this end but have no doubt they will continue to thrive with whatever else they put their hands to.

CAFE LIFE TO CLOSE

It is with heavy hearts and teary eyes that the members of Cabin Lane Church have made the painful decision to close Cafe Life.

We recognise that this wonderful cafe is dearly loved by all and has become something of an institution within the east Oswestry community. Sadly, however, rising costs, stagnant footfall, and the significant sums invested by the church in subsidising the café over the past year have left us with no alternative. After careful consideration, members unanimously agreed that the time has come to bring Cafe Life to a close with our last trading day being Friday July 31st 2026.

We are immensely grateful to our staff and volunteers over the years for their dedication and hard work. As part of the closure process, we are working closely with those affected to ensure they receive the appropriate support and consideration.

We would also like to thank everyone who has supported, volunteered, and enjoyed Cafe Life over the years.
Its impact on our community is no doubt immeasurable.

As one season comes to an end, inevitably it is followed by another, we are really excited as a church to be exploring what God has for us and the local community next.

With the love of Christ, our Lord and Saviour,

The members of Cabin Lane Church
