Customer Notice – Coronavirus (COVID-19)
Dear customers,
We are writing to provide an update and advice in relation to the current situation regarding Coronavirus (COVID-19).
As people look to stay local, to travel less and to support their older and more vulnerable family, friends and neighbours over the coming weeks and possibly months, Halsall Garage will become ever more valuable to the local community.
Please rest assured that Halsall Garage remains wholly committed to keeping our colleagues and customers safe and will endeavour to manage stock availability and service as best we can in what is an unprecedented and evolving situation for everyone.
We have spoken with Neil Campbell who has headed the local Halsall Crisis Group and have volunteered our services to the local community. It is important for anyone in isolation to ensure that they receive at least one hot meal a day. We have daily specials available and currently are continuing to serve Lancashire Age UK with daily meals and desserts to ensure the over 70’s have a nutritional diet.
We will be starting a delivery service to support local people. We can deliver hot meals and every day essentials for the older generation that are in self-isolation and that want to protect themselves in the current climate. We believe that this will be a great way of supporting our local community.
In order for this to work properly and in line with Government policy anyone that requires a delivery would e-mail us on [email protected] or phone on the above number and make payment over the telephone. We would deliver the goods to your home by ringing the door-bell and the groceries would be left outside your home. It is important to avoid contact to try and contain the spread of the virus.
Due to our limited number of staff we would request that if there are any volunteers to assist us in the delivery of essential goods then please leave your details with the local shop or contact us on 01704 841188.
