Happy Heart Cafe

Happy Heart Cafe We are the cosiest, friendliest cafe in Solihull. A great place to meet, eat & smile.

Catering to all dietary needs (vegan, vegetarian, gluten-free, dairy-free) with simple fresh food & drinks, we promote physical and mental health and a happy heart. We are the cosiest café in Olton and the closest to the canal if you are walking or cycling the tow path. We aim to offer healthier food with options for vegans, vegetarians and the gluten-free, and are proud of our environmental credentials - with pre-loved furniture and a mission to recycle as much waste as possible. We also support community initiatives and host a number of events including Psychic Night, Vegan Dining Club, Guitar Live, Fiction Night, Men's Group, Quiz Night, art and crafts and more! There’s always something going on, so call in or keep an eye on our page, Instagram or window. We are also part of the Chatty Cafe scheme - sit at the Chatter & Natter table and people will know you are happy to talk; as well as the Happy Cafe Network - promoting and encouraging happiness for all!

Coming up tonight (Thursday 3rd Sept) at 6.30pm at the Happy Heart Cafe: Get Free tea and a biscuit for the first dozen people who turn up to hear Nigel LLoyd of Acocks Greener talk abou starting Energy Local Clubs. Energy Clubs use local sources of renewable energy to give local residents lower bills. Come to Happy Heart Cafe, 26 Richmond Road Olton, Solihull B92 7RP
Nigel is spearheading a Local Energy Club in South east Birmingham and parts of Solihull. David T**e will talk about starting an Energy Club in other parts - Shirley and south including places like Earlswood and Hockley Heath.

‘Energy Local is transforming the electricity market for communities and small-scale renewable generators. Our mission is to help communities get more value from small-scale renewable generation by using the electricity locally.

‘How? Energy Local has designed a means for local people to benefit from local energy through Energy Local Clubs. This enables households to club together and show they are using local, clean power when it is generated. They agree upon a better price for local generators and reduce their bills. It reflects local renewables’ true value and keeps more money local.’ https://energylocal.org.uk/
