After the fantastic atmosphere last year, we’re delighted to announce that Christmas Whit Friday – WHITMAS – is back for 2026! ❤️
📅 Friday 11th December 2026
⏰ Starting from 6pm at each venue
📍 The White Lion • The Swan Inn • The Old Bell Inn
If you joined us last year, you’ll know just how special this evening is. Brass bands, Christmas music, families, friends and the whole community coming together to create a truly magical festive atmosphere throughout Delph. 🎄✨
This is what Christmas in our village is all about!
🎺 BANDS — WE WANT TO HEAR FROM YOU!
We’re looking for brass bands who would like to take part in Whitmas 2026.
Whether you joined us last year or would like to be part of it for the first time, please contact Paul Lovett Cooper for more information.

Firstly, a HUGE THANK YOU to all the fantastic businesses and individuals who sponsored Whitmas last year. Your support played a massive part in making the event such a success, and we genuinely couldn’t have done it without you. ❤️
We’re delighted that many of last year’s sponsors are already coming back on board for 2026!
The more sponsorship we receive, the more we can put towards prize money for the bands taking part, while also helping us raise even more money for our chosen charities and local causes.
Each of the three venues — The White Lion, The Swan Inn and The Old Bell Inn — is looking for additional businesses and individuals who would like to sponsor this year’s event.
As a sponsor, your business will receive an advert in our official Whitmas magazine, which will be distributed directly to local households through a postal drop, giving your business fantastic exposure throughout the local community.

We’ll also be holding a fantastic raffle, with some brilliant cash prizes already confirmed:

Raffle tickets will be available from The White Lion, The Swan Inn and The Old Bell Inn, as well as selected businesses and venues around the village.

Every prize donated helps us make the raffle even better and ultimately helps us raise more money for our chosen charities and local causes.
