A Heartfelt Farewell from Amchur Restaurant & Bar

It is with heartfelt gratitude and a touch of sadness that we share the news that, as of Wednesday 18th June 2025, we have officially sold Amchur Restaurant & Bar.

Over the past three years, it has been an incredible journey building Amchur into what it is today. We have truly cherished every moment—serving delicious food, creating lasting memories, and forming genuine connections with our wonderful customers, neighbours, and the warm-hearted community of Old Windsor. Your support and encouragement have meant the world to us.

As our travel business—Lumle Holidays (www.lumle.com) —continues to grow across the UK, USA, Canada, and Europe, alongside the joy and challenges of raising three young children and caring for our family dog, it has become increasingly difficult to give Amchur the attention it deserves. With careful thought, we made the decision to hand it over.

We are delighted to share that Amchur will continue to trade under the same name, now in the capable hands of a passionate new team who are committed to delivering the same standard of food, service, and care that you’ve come to expect. The new owners are truly wonderful—hardworking, down-to-earth people who are eager to build upon the foundation we’ve created and take Amchur to even greater heights.

We kindly ask that you continue supporting Amchur and extend the same warmth and loyalty to the new owners as you so generously gave to us. Your support—especially from the neighbours and people of Old Windsor—has been the very heart of this business. Without you, Amchur wouldn’t be the Amchur it is today. We sincerely hope you’ll help it continue to thrive, as we genuinely want to see Amchur grow even higher and stronger under its new ownership.

Though our journey with Amchur ends here, we’re still nearby. If you're ever around Slough, please drop by our Lumle Holidays office at 268 Bath Road, SL1 4DX. We’re open Monday to Friday, 10am–5pm, and would love to catch up over a coffee.

The Significance of Diwali and Lakshmi Puja The five-day festival is marked by traditions and rituals that illuminate our homes and hearts.
