Help us support our neighbours at Aberdeen Arts Centre this upcoming weekend! We really do love having Aberdeen Arts Centre in our little corner of Aberdeen. They are just along the road from us and bring so much to the area, from theatre and music to comedy, community events and some fantastic local talent.

On 2nd & 3rd October, they are holding their Big Variety Show, an important fundraiser to help raise much-needed funds to support the Arts Centre and everything they do.

Normally when there’s a show on, we offer theatre-goers 10% off their bill. But for these two nights, we thought we would do things a little differently.

Instead of giving that 10% as a discount, Gio's by La Lombarda will donate 10% of the total bill from every Big Variety Show guest’s pre-theatre meal & drinks directly to Aberdeen Arts Centre.

So come and have dinner with us, then head just along the road for the 7pm show — and we will give 10% of your bill back to the Arts Centre.

It’s a small way for us — and hopefully lots of you — to support a neighbour that means a lot to our city!

A little reminder from us here at Gio's by La Lombarda

There is still plenty happening with the construction works around The Castlegate at the moment, and we know it can make this end of town look a little less inviting than usual!

But behind our doors, it’s very much business as usual!

We are open, we are easy to get to from both The Castlegate and King Street, and we have got tables available this Friday & Saturday.

Like a lot of the local independent businesses around us, we really do feel the difference when there is disruption outside — so if you’ve been thinking about coming in for a pizza, pasta, a bottle of w**e or just a good catch-up over dinner, this would be a very good weekend to do it ❤️

We have been working on this one for a while and we are really excited to finally share it with you.

Our Pizze d’Italia menu takes you on a journey through Italy, with well known classics alongside pizzas inspired by some of our favourite Italian regions!

And, of course, there is 'Pizza di Gio’s' inspired by our family roots in Emilia-Romagna - which was a favourite during Aberdeen Restaurant Weeks!

A lovely weekend to get out and explore Aberdeen ❤️

It’s Aberdeen Doors Open Day this weekend, with some of the city’s wonderful buildings opening their doors for everyone to discover.

It got us looking back through some of our own old photos and remembering just how long we’ve been part of The Castlegate. Gio's by La Lombarda story here goes all the way back to 1922 – and we are very proud to still be part of Aberdeen today.

And while you’re out exploring, why not come and see us? It’s also the final weekend of Aberdeen Restaurant Weeks, with our 2 courses for £20 or 3 courses for £25 menu running until Sunday.
