If you’re heading down to see us on week days this week, just a quick heads-up: the road between Okehampton and Sourton has local closures/diversions.

The route from Launceston/Tavistock and Lewdown is 100% clear!

If you’re coming from the Okehampton/Exeter direction, simply follow the official diversion signs via Lewdown (or allow an extra 5–10 minutes on your journey).

The coffee is hot, the w**e is chilled, and we can’t wait to see you! 🍷🍰

Look at these beauties! 🍇😍

Day three of harvest was an absolute triumph. We spent the day picking our Rondo grapes, bringing in a fantastic 3.2 tonnes in total—all destined for our next vintage of rosé!

From picking in the rows under the sunshine to lining up the crates and getting them straight into the w**ery, our team of pickers worked their socks off today. The fruit is looking unbelievably vibrant, and we can’t wait to see how this batch turns out.

Harvest part two is officially underway! 🍇🚜

Today we brought in 1.6 tonnes of Seyval Blanc, picked at absolute perfection for our next batch of sparkling w**e. Plus, we kicked off the Rondo harvest for our rosé—and we’ll be right back out in the rows doing it all over again tomorrow!

Here’s Tom and Evan looking very pleased with themselves while loading up the tractor tubs. Plenty of heavy lifting, but we couldn't be happier with how the fruit is looking this year.

Harvest part two starts tomorrow! 🍇🧺

The Seyval Blanc has officially hit the sweet spot, which means we’re out in the rows first thing tomorrow morning bringing in the grapes for our next vintage of sparkling w**e.

Fingers crossed for good weather, working equipment, and plenty of coffee to keep our picking crew fueled up! Wish us luck—we’ll keep you posted on how day one goes! ✨🍾

Behind the scenes in the w**ery! 🧪🍷

Our fresh Madeleine Angevine juice is currently ticking away in the tank, chilled down to a cool 12.5°C.

Why so cold? Yeast loves heat and ferments super fast when warm, but cooling things down slows the whole process right down. A low, slow ferment locks in all those crisp fruit notes and delicate floral aromas instead of letting them blow off into the air. It takes a bit longer, but the flavor in the glass is so worth the wait!

Huge thanks to Kaz for taking the time to share such kind words. Knowing that both our human guests (and four-legged friends!) leave happy after breakfast or lunch is what it’s all about for us.
