🧡 A little recognition goes a long way folks…

We’re absolutely delighted to have been Recognised for Excellence at the Food Awards Scotland 2026! 🏆

We’re incredibly proud to receive this recognition, but more than anything, it gives us the perfect opportunity to say a huge thank you to our team.

A hotel and restaurant is only ever as good as the people behind it and we’re very lucky with ours. 🧡

From our chefs creating and preparing the food, to our front-of-house and bar teams welcoming and looking after our guests, our kitchen porters, housekeeping team, reception and everyone working away behind the scenes this recognition belongs to all of you.

Hospitality isn’t always an easy industry. It’s busy, it’s demanding, and so much of the hard work happens quietly in the background. We see the long days, the busy services, the extra mile and the care that goes into what you do and we appreciate every bit of it.

We’re incredibly lucky to have such a hardworking team, and we hope you’re as proud of this recognition as we are. ❤️

And of course, a huge thank you to our wonderful customers whether you’re a familiar local face, visiting us for the first time, staying at the hotel or joining us for dinner. Every visit, recommendation, review and bit of support allows our team to keep doing what they do best.

One of our favourite nights of the year is nearly here!

Michael & Shirley will soon be making their annual trip all the way to Manchester to collect this year’s fireworks. ONLY THE BEST OF THE BEST! 🎇🚗💨

A huge thank you to everyone who has contributed to the firework fund. Your generous donations help us keep this much-loved community night going. ❤️🎆

All families are very welcome to join us for the display!

We’re also grateful for the suitable bonfire materials donated in previous years. If you’d like to bring anything along this year, please contact the hotel or Michael/Ross first so we can confirm it’s suitable. Please don’t leave anything without letting us know. 🪵🔥

🎃 It’s officially spooky season at the Falls! 👻🍂

1st October has arrived, which means the countdown to All Hallows’ Eve is officially on… 🕯️🦇

Throughout October, we’ll be slowly transforming the hotel and getting ready to welcome all the little witches, ghosts, monsters and trick-or-treaters who dare to visit the Falls! 🍬🎃

And for all the children heading to the Connel Community Halloween Party in the hall, make sure you pop in and show us your costumes! 🧙‍♀️🧛‍♂️👻 We can’t wait to see what spooky creations you come up with.

While the little monsters are partying, mums and dads are very welcome to join us too, grab a seat by the fire and enjoy a spooky brew or two while you wait. 🔥🍻☕️

🍂✨ The ’Ber Months are here at The Falls! ✨🎄

There’s something rather special about this time of year at The Falls of Lora (our FAVOURITE TIME OF YEAR) darker evenings, roaring fires, good food, familiar faces and plenty to look forward to. ❤️

From Halloween fun and Bonfire Night 🎃🎆 to our festive menu, Afternoon Tea with Santa, Elf Craft Workshops and cosy pub quiz nights by the fire… we’re filling the months ahead with reasons to get together.

🎄 Our Christmas Menu begins Saturday 21st November, and we’ll keep the festive cheer going until we close for our Christmas break on 21st December, reopening 3rd February.

Explore our NEW cocktail menu, featuring classics, signature favourites and refreshing spritzes, with an additional Cocktail of the Week each week for something new to discover.

Our barman and cocktail master, Shaun, is always on hand to shake, stir and serve your favourites, as well as create something special for you to enjoy.

From a Hot Honey Margarita with a spicy kick to a creamy Kinder White Russian or a perfectly balanced Espresso Martini, there’s something to suit every taste.

And if your favourite cocktail isn’t on the menu, just ask! 🍹 We’re happy to make additional favourites when possible, so there really is something for everyone.

Why not make an evening of it and get the train to Connel? With great public transport links nearby, you can leave the car at home, skip the designated driver and let everyone enjoy a tipple or two. 🚆🍸

Our homemade picnic menu will be available daily from 12:30pm. Simply place your order before 11:00am and we’ll have everything freshly prepared for you.
