Save the date: Gin Tasting with The Strontian Distillery on Sunday 30th August.

We try and source all our supplies as locally as possible, and that doesn’t just mean food...this small batch Scottish Gin distillery is based a mere 20 miles from us in Strontian!

They have four award winning gins, all inspired by elements both of nature and of Strontian. Vicki and Graeme will be visiting us as part of their summer tour for a gin tasting session, complete with a finger food buffet and cocktails too.

Did you see our Recipe of the Month in August's Dè tha dol? Magazine for So**ed Mackerel?

It’s a brilliant way to essentially pickle the fish using a warm or hot liquid and is perfect for this time of year when Mackerel arrive in our waters. Thank you to one of our lovely regulars for sending us this picture of them trying it out with some of their fresh catch! 📷

Our Taste of Wild Morvern event last month was brilliantly popular, with Clare from West Highland Herbal and Chef Chris, as part of Morvern Games and Gala Week.
