Well where do I start. Ever since I moved into the Boot In 2022 I have been welcomed by the village, beyond expectation. This pub meant the world to me and still does even though it's come to an end.
We've had a lot of ups and downs, tried our best to save the pub but in the end we were beaten to it.
It was nice seeing Mark Humphries, Kate Humphries and Warren, 3 generations of Landlord/Landlady's in the pub last night all enjoying the pub one last time all together. Also it was great seeing a lot of happy faces enjoying the music bingo hosted by Ian Hayes Comedian which is always a great success and we thank him for constantly supporting us and we do him with his wonderful entertainment nights.
Liz and I were sat up till the early hours reminiscing and sharing tears of sadness and joy and the memories that will always be with us so we thank you all for that.
The Boot may not exist any more, but all of our memories cannot be bought and converted.
We hope to find a new pub in the future, and continue our journey creating a fun, happy hub for locals to come and drink and all feel welcome.
I just want to say thank you to all the villagers that have supported us over the last few years, it really means the world, and we hope to be back in everyone's lives soon once more!!!
I have met some wonderful people along the journey who started off as strangers but now I call my friends and I'm grateful.
I've shared some pictures old and new that will live on in my memories!
Goodbye South Luffenham for now.
Thank you all❤️
