🐾🏆 WE’RE FINALISTS! 🏆🐾

We honestly can’t quite believe we’re writing this…

Rutland Point Bistro has been shortlisted as a FINALIST in the 2026 Leicestershire Tourism & Hospitality Awards in the Dog Friendly Venue category. 🥹❤️

And this one means more to us than we can really put into words.

Being dog friendly was never simply a business decision for us.

Our beautiful Roxy was part of our family for 14 years. As she got older, her separation anxiety made it harder to take her places, and we knew that awful feeling of wanting to go somewhere but not wanting to leave your best friend behind.

That stayed with us.

So when we opened Rutland Point, we knew that dogs would always be welcome.

Not just outside.

Inside. At the table. With their families.

Fresh water, treats, fuss and a warm welcome are all part of the experience. Because to us, dogs aren’t just pets.

They’re family. 🐾❤️

And then something happened this year that made the whole story feel even more special.

On 17 August 2026, the very day we officially bought Rutland Point Bistro, we said goodbye to our beautiful Chloe. 💔🐾

It was an incredibly emotional day. We had the heartbreak of losing one of our beloved dogs, while at the very same time officially beginning this new chapter of our lives.

We chose to see that timing as a blessing from God.

One door closing, another opening.

And somehow, having our new business officially become ours on the very day we lost Chloe made our promise to make Rutland Point a place where dogs are always welcome feel even more meaningful.

Roxy. Chloe. And every dog who has ever been loved by a family.

They’re part of the reason this matters so much to us. ❤️

So to now be recognised as a finalist for Dog Friendly Venue feels incredibly special.

We opened our doors only a few months ago, and already our little bistro has become a place where people come with their families, their friends and their four-legged family members.

Thank you to everyone who has supported us, brought their dogs through our doors, shared our posts, left us reviews and helped make Rutland Point what it is.

This one is for all the dogs. 🐾

And especially for the ones we carry with us, even though they’re no longer beside us. 🌈❤️
