We have had to make the gutting and sad decision to close No Homers doors for good on the 11th of June. Whilst business has improved significantly and we have absolutely loved doing what we have over the last nearly 7 months as the shop and 2 years as a market trader, I can no longer physically, mentally and financially support the business. This isn't an easy decision to make at all, but we know this is the right decision to make. With the continuingly rising cost of rent, tax, utilities, supplies and availability issues with no seeming light at the end of its tunnel. We are not the only independent business that is struggling at the moment with little to no help from local or national government. Unlike other businesses we have always taken the approach of being open, honest and transparent. These are tough times that will get tougher, but i cant thank you all enough for you amazing love and support, we could not of got this far without you. A very special thank you to my amazing wife who worked so hard to build the business with me, a huge thank you to my staff present and past J, Meg, Dean, Amy and Josh.
We will be having a party on the Saturday the 11th from 9.30-6pm with a 'Everything must go!' sale including stock, equipment and even artwork off the wall! We will be donating some of the proceeds to Notts LGBT+ Network a incredible local charity who we have had the pleasure of supporting for many years. So please if you can come along, ignore the emotional mess that is me in the corner, and have some fun on our last day! All next week we will be doing specials that we have wanted to do and had in the pipeline but didn't get the chance to try out...like Thai green veg curry and wedges from the hot counter!
Whilst the business is not for sale and will be closing, we are selling our recipes for our outstanding high quality "meats" and sandwich fillings. I would love to sell them as a group to someone who has the appetite to grow their own food business, these 'meats' have proven commercial viability and we know are by far the best in the east Midlands.
