Last week, we visited another place in Nottingham that’s very close to our heart ❤️
Yamas is a family-run Greek restaurant led by Savvas and his two sons, George and Michael. Built on years of passion, hard work and a love for sharing authentic Greek food, it’s the kind of place where everything feels personal. From the moment you walk in you’re not just a customer, but you’re welcomed like part of the family.
Whether it’s for a quick lunch or a relaxed dinner, we always love going there. There’s something so warm about it and if you’ve ever been, you’ll definitely remember Savvas, who always puts a big smile on our face. We look forward to seeing him just as much as we look forward to the food!
This time, we had a bit of everything from their menu of the day: honey chorizo, patatas bravas, chickpeas and spinach, gambas skewers, hummus with pitta bread and Greek sausages. And to finish we were very kindly offered two shots of amaretto by the owner which was a really lovely touch. It’s the perfect place to escape Nottingham for a moment and feel like you’ve been invited to a table in Greece 🇬🇷
Supporting independent restaurants like this really matters. It’s about recognising years of dedication and care behind the scenes and being part of that story ❤️
