🖤 Important Announcement from BOHNS 🖤

It’s with an incredibly heavy heart that we have to share some devastating news with you all…

Yesterday morning, we arrived to find that our landlords had changed the locks and taken possession of our restaurant without any prior warning or chance to discuss or resolve matters. After 7 and a half years of dedication, hard work, and passion, our entire business - something we built from the ground up - has been taken away from us overnight.

This decision comes at a time when hospitality is facing some of the toughest challenges in history. Independent venues like ours are fighting to survive - rising costs, changing markets and quieter trading periods have all hit small businesses hard. Instead of support or understanding, we’ve been met with what we can only describe as cold, inhumane treatment.

What makes this even harder is knowing how much love, time, money, and sacrifice we have poured into this place - not just to keep it running, but to make it somewhere special for the community. We’ve invested hundreds of thousands of pounds, endless hours and a huge part of our lives to turn this space into what it became.

But most of all, we are absolutely overwhelmed with gratitude. To every single person who has ever stepped through our doors - whether you came once, or countless times - thank you.

Thank you for dining with us, laughing with us, celebrating with us and being part of our journey. Your support has meant everything. You’ve helped us build something truly unique, with a phenomenal reputation and a loyal community we’ll always be proud of.

Right now, we’re still processing what’s happened and weighing up what comes next. This is not how we ever imagined things ending and we’re heartbroken. But please know, this isn’t goodbye to the spirit of what we created. It’s just an incredibly painful chapter in an industry that deserves far better support and respect for the independent businesses that make our cities and communities so special.

From the bottom of our hearts - thank you for 7.5 unforgettable years 🖤

🚨 BOHNS UPDATE 🚨

This isn’t the news we wanted to share, but here it is: our Edwinstowe site will be closing, with our last day of service on Sunday 31st August.

We put our all into this project… time, money, energy, the works. But the reality is, with the way things are for hospitality right now, sometimes you’ve just got to strip it back and return to your roots. For us, that’s Nottingham. The OG. The place it all began.

To everyone who came through, supported us and backed the Edwinstowe chapter we thank you. Truly.

From September, if you’re after your BOHNS fix, you’ll find us back where it all started: Nottingham.
