Opened in 2000 on the lower floors of the former Canal museum, the Canalhouse is famous for having a canal that extends into the building complete with resident narrow boats. Our aim is simple to offer the best craft and world beer experience possible, paralleled with an extensive choice of real ale. With the largest selection of ‘World Beers’ in the East Midlands, travel the world with us guided by our ever changing beer menu. The Canalhouse currently offers over 150 bottled beers from around the world. With a huge selection of wines and spirits and an extensive range of up to 13 trad ciders, 6 real ales and up to 10 craft beers we truly are the bar of choice. A versatile food offer is available daily with up to 15 specials. At the Canalhouse we have a large events venue above our main bar that can fit up to 200 people, ideal for any occasion from corporate events to wedding receptions.
