Opened in 2000 on the lower floors of the former Canal museum, the Canalhouse is famous for having a canal that extends into the building complete with resident narrow boats. Our aim is simple to offer the best craft and world beer experience possible, paralleled with an extensive choice of real ale. With the largest selection of ‘World Beers’ in the East Midlands, travel the world with us guided

by our ever changing beer menu. The Canalhouse currently offers over 150 bottled beers from around the world. With a huge selection of wines and spirits and an extensive range of up to 13 trad ciders, 6 real ales and up to 10 craft beers we truly are the bar of choice. A versatile food offer is available daily with up to 15 specials. At the Canalhouse we have a large events venue above our main bar that can fit up to 200 people, ideal for any occasion from corporate events to wedding receptions. We pride ourselves on our standards and service and can tailor any event to your individual requirements. A large covered beer garden situated by the canal side enables people to sit outside no matter the weather.

It’s officially pride month! June is for celebrating all kinds of love and different identities, something we whole heartedly believe in. We’ve collaborated with and taken the Safe Space pledge, to make sure you’re safe while also having a good time 🕺

Thank you to everyone who’s popped down for the first Canalside Sessions of the Summer! It was a busy one today, and the vibes were immaculate. will be playing you into your bank holiday weekend 🎶

Everyone should have the proper pub experience, no matter what you’re drinking (or not drinking 👀). We try to stock plenty of delicious alcohol-free alternatives, both bottled and on draught!

✨ Including Castle Rock’s very own Steady Sip: an alcohol-free pale ale, still bursting with big hop aromas and notes of lime, pine and passionfruit – only 0.3%
