🌟T H A N K Y O U 🌟
What a fabulous day we had on Sunday! A record breaking 25 people joined along the walk from Meadow Lane back to The Abdication, with most (cough, cough) completing it! With varied routes taken through the city, we all convened at The Lincolnshire Poacher, ready for the stroll along the Mansfield Road back home to Daybrook.
And there the fun and fundraising started!! With the Raffle, Quiz, Sticky 13s and Stand Up Bingo, we raised an incredible £640 for Treetops Hospice There's more on Jim's Just Giving page too. If you missed out on Sunday and would like to contribute to the important work they do, the link is below 👇
As Matt says 'The staff from Tree Tops were a huge help while Dad was in the final stages of life. Without them, we couldn't have brought him home to live his last few weeks, in comfort, in the place he loved and for all of us to spend precious time with him. It's a hugely valuable service for anyone in this situation and as a charity, they need as much support as we can give. Huge thanks to Jim for another fabulous fundraising Sunday'

🍻 YEAR OF B**R - THE SEPTEMBER ONE 🍻
Coming this Friday (or maybe thurs....keep an eye on our stories), Worker Bee from Thornbridge Brewery is a true tribute to the traditional Manchester Bitter, it’s sessionable, balanced and packed with character. Pouring a warm blonde, it opens with a light floral hop aroma. On the palate, the lighter malt provides a smooth, rounded backbone while the hop bitterness keeps the finish crisp and refreshing.

🚵‍♀️ Our lovely regular, James, in doing something pretty amazing tomorrow - cycling all the way from Nottingham train station to St Pancras station. A whooping 140 miles. IN ONE DAY!!!
Raising money for two quite different organisations close to his heart. Read the fundraising page for a heart-felt explanation, from his partner Rachael, of how much these causes mean to him.

New Month; New Season; New Sunday Session!!
We're starting off September with the second of our new music sessions, led by the wonderful Ben Mark Smith and featuring a spotlight set from Myles Knight. Come along to share your music or listen along - it'll be a grand way to spend Sunday afternoon.

Been busy organising the D.H Lawrence Music Festival the last few weeks ... but i don't want anyone to forget about this fantastic event ill be running the day after (6th September)

A totally acoustic open mic at the wonderful The Abdication Micropub.
Great b**r, food, good wholesome music and wonderful people ... the perfect place to relax and hear a few tunes after a hectic day at the festival.

Pop down from 2:30 (maybe earlier if you want a seat) and pop your name down on the list to sing a couple songs.
