CLOSING DATE….HEIDIS CAFE
24th December will be our final day
This has been a very tough decision, but as many of my loyal customers know, I started this venture due to having a Son with a very rare, complex Epilepsy resulting in 100’s of seizures a week predominantly through the night, my main goal was to be someone, other than a carer which I have been doing for 25 years, so I had a plan at the time, my plan was to be able to work whilst bringing my son into a social environment, when he left Schooling, and so he could help, when he could along the way, thinking his seizures would be more under control, as the years have gone along, we are still dealing with them.
The cafe has brought me and my boys, so much Joy fun and laughter, that said Juggling a business and raising children with complex needs has took its toll on me, so I have made the decision to focus on me, to make sure I can continue my caring role for many years to come.
I couldn’t of done this without my amazing staff, who never call in sick, knowing the impact it would have and I can not thank them enough, they have been by my side all the way.
I set out to do what I intended also, always to employ staff that had been out of work for long periods, trained staff from the job center for work experience and gave placements to young adults with learning difficulties and little old me doing this fills me with pride.
As for my customers, I also can’t thank you enough for supporting me over the time I’ve been there, many have also become friends and I am going to miss each and every one of you, and the many great memories. I can’t thank you enough for your support.
But on the positive side it will still remain a cafe, and come January there are going to be some lovely new owners. They have so many exciting plans for the place, and they will be able to bring the time and energy that the cafe deserves, and I can’t wait to go In and sit the other side of the counter, I know my customers will be very supportive. And I wish them well, and can’t wait until they re open the doors.
Again thank you to those who have shown me support.
