This month’s coffee… Colombia Santa Monica! 🇨🇴☕️

Loads of passion fruit coming through in this one, and there’s a good reason for that!
The cherries go through a 72-hour fermentation with dehydrated passion fruit, before being pulped and slowly dried on raised beds with even more passion fruit.

It gives you loads of passion fruit, nectarine and stone fruit in the cup. Really interesting coffee and something a bit different from us this month.

We’ve only got a limited amount though, so once it’s gone, it’s gone. 👍

Speciality coffee doesn't exist anymore?

We've been saying this for a while, and Glen Turch touched on it recently too...

Does the term "speciality coffee" actually mean anything to m out people anymore?

Probably 98% of customers walking into a cafe or restaurant dont care what label you put on it. They just want a really good cup of coffee! 🤗

Maybe we need to spend less time worrying about what we call it and more time making sure it tastes good!

Interested to hear what you think about this one? 👀

Think we might need to call tech support back! 😂 👀

There’s a lot more to being a good coffee roaster than roasting good coffee. ☕️

The stuff that happens behind the scenes matters just as much – especially when other businesses are relying on you.

Interested to hear what café and restaurant owners think. What matters most to you from your coffee supplier?

There’s a lot of work behind this one! ☕️

The Castillo cherries are hand selected, then go through a 72-hour dry anaerobic fermentation with dehydrated passion fruit before being slowly dried on raised beds with even more passion fruit.

And you can absolutely taste it. Passion fruit, nectarine, stone fruit… it’s a pretty incredible coffee and a great example of just how much the process at origin can influence what eventually ends up in your cup.

This month’s coffee – Colombia Santa Monica Honey Castillo. 🇨🇴☕️
