After roasting and weight loss, a 60kg sack of green coffee will typically produce around 204 x 250g bags of coffee! 🤯

It's only when you start packing it up that you realise just how much coffee comes from a single sack!

What’s even more impressive is that each coffee cherry usually contains two beans, meaning a farmer has to pick just over 200,000 cherries to fill a single sack like this!

When you consider we’ve got dozens of sacks moving through the roastery at any one time, it’s a pretty incredible amount of work before the coffee even reaches us! 🤯

We've been busy with installations lately, which is always great as it means we're getting out, meeting new customers, discovering new venues and helping more businesses serve great coffee! ☕️

There’s a lot more machinery and infrastructure behind a busy roastery than most people realise.

From roasting through to packing and shipping, systems like this are what allow us to produce and send coffee out at scale to homes, cafés and businesses every week.

Coffee’s become a lot more complex over the years! 👀

More choice, more equipment, more expectations — and it’s easy to forget that, at the end of the day, your customers are the ones drinking it!

Whether it’s changing supplier, switching coffees, or updating equipment, involving your customers and listening to what they actually enjoy goes a long way...👍

Not every decision has to be based on trends or what the industry says is “best”!

Sometimes it’s just about knowing your audience! 😀
