Marquis of Granby

Marquis of Granby The original Marquis of Granby in the village of Granby, Vale of Belvoir, Nottinghamshire. Purveyors of Brewster's beautiful beers and local guest ales.

The Marquis of Granby is a rare thing these days, a pub that has remained a proper wet led country pub serving the surrounding villages. A place where drinkers are welcome and conversation can be easily entered into. In the winter check out the coal fire which is reputedly the best in the Vale.

Our lovely students are going off to Uni so we are recruiting for several long term barstaff positions to join our team at the Marquis.
We are welcoming applicants for all ages over 18 years old. (Don't exclude yourself if you are retired and fancy keeping your hand in with a few hours work)

We need to cover weekday, evening shifts and various weekend shifts which include afternoons and evenings. The roles will be part-time and we expect to assign regular shifts to suit everyone.
However we are happy to allow shifts to be swapped between staff and we would also expect you to help cover other colleagues when they have time off.

We expect you to have the maturity to be able to work solo, opening and closing the pub and changing beers in the cellar and to be happy, at busy times, to work with a colleague.

Most importantly we are looking for someone who genuinely enjoys customer service in a pub environment and has the experience to involve themselves in the pub culture, the chat and to host the pub’s customers.

We will provide informal training on how we run the barside of the operation so previous pub experience would not be necessary for the right person.

If you are interested in working at the Marquis please email a CV and brief letter explaining why you would like to be considered [email protected] See less
