Last 2 days of Fuego Tacos @ The Stanley, come party one last time

All tables are booked tonight but we’ve got a bit of space for walk ins, so come down and if we can squeeze you in we’ll get you fed

Lots of words here, but it should hopefully answer a lot of your questions!

Fuego will be back in the future but there’s no plans in place for a new venue/site currently. The last 18 months and the support from everyone has been incredible, my heart is so full from all the lovely comments these last few weeks.

Because of your support Fuego has continued to get busier and busier and has reached a point where the staff needed more support from me than I was able to give them. It was a choice between closing the business for the time being on my terms whilst it was still profitable and had a good reputation or make some big changes and risk undoing 18 months of love and hard work

All the staff have kept their jobs and will be staying on to work in the new iteration of the Stanley Kitchen, The Stanley are super excited about what’s to come and I get to take some time out after 4 years of working 7 days a week. It’s a really positive way to move forward and the future looks great (for all of us!)

Some of you may read all that and still not understand things, I’m always open to answering questions but I would ask you keep them respectful. Closing a place, even on good terms and for good reasons, is still a tough thing to do and the decision is the culmination of months of thought and sleepless nights

I just got in and it’s 36 degrees in the kitchen and we’ve not even turned the equipment on yet

It’s quiz night! Kick off at 8pm, no bookings tonight so just get down early and bag a table!

Our head chef gave himself heat stroke yesterday so we’re running a super limited menu.

P.S. the outpouring of love from Fridays post was truly humbling, big love to all of you. I’ll address the reasons why Fuego is leaving The Stanley in another post soon, there’s currently no plans for Fuego to open up elsewhere but everything is actually very positive and everyone’s happy about it!
