Homemade rough 'n' ready dog treats 🐶😋

We love making our own oat milk from blended oats and water, but when you strain out the milk you are left with some 'oat sludge'. Rather than throw that away, we repurpose it into yummy wholesome dog treats!

We add peanut butter, extra oats and a touch of nooch to the sludge before baking for about 30 mins.

Maddie loves them!

Just to mention, these are just a small treat on top of a balanced complete diet 💚

Sorry not to post for ages! Just wanted to share a little update and say we are still here but taking a pause for now.

We've been planning next steps for Veggie Patch Café but have needed to focus on our life and home for a bit. We have our hands really full with a house move and renovation. But once we've caught our breath then we will update you on when you can find us and our nourishing plant-based deliciousness 🌱💚

Super fresh and delicious roasted tomato and red pepper soup with homemade socca bread 😋

With romero and bell peppers, juicy tomatoes, loaded with herbs and topped with seeds. And no oil needed to roast. The socca bread is mostly a chickpea flour batter, baked in the oven in a cast iron skillet. Organic, gluten-free, low waste, and fresh wholesome ingredients 🌱💚

Have you tried cucumelons? They are native to Mexico and Central America and although it looks more like a tiny watermelon its nearer cucumber in taste.

A vibrant mixed salad bowl of lettuce, chard and chives from the garden, quinoa, adzuki beans, tomato, cucumber, carrot, seeds, lemon and dill sauerkraut by Le Digestif and nooch! Dressed in lime juice and balsamic vinegar 🌱

We love taking yummy nourishing food and making it even more special with colourful and flavoursome toppings🌈🌱

The base of this dish is a deeply satisfying and slightly sweet soup of roasted sweet potatoes and carrots. But we've topped this with a swirl of cashew cream, fresh chives and parsley from our herb garden, walnuts, and sunflower and pumpkin seeds. Then scooped it up with earthy seeded quinoa flatbread.

Love that this dish was made from package free ingredients from our local zero waste store ._source. It's organic and gluten-free too 💚

This was just what was needed this evening after a run!🏃A simple Buddha bowl of millet, haricot beans, salad leaves, tomato, avocado, baked marinated tempeh and yummy oozy and oh so morish baba ganoush 🤤

Keeping it simple, beautiful and fresh with this colourful Buddha bowl 🙂

From our garden there's rainbow chard, chives and chive flowers, and lemony cabbage. Plus chickpeas, baked mushroom, baked tempeh, cucumber, carrot and smokey quinoa. No extra dressing to just let the lovely organic flavours sing for themselves 💚🌱

Spring time on a plate! We love using home-grown and wild ingredients. This is a chickpea flour pancake, with foraged wild garlic pesto, chives from our garden and crunchy foraged miner's lettuce. Earthy delicious food 🌱🤤 And all minimal oil, gluten-free, organic, low waste and vegan 💚🌍

We responsibly foraged from woods local to us, just taking what we need from abundant patches and leaving the roots intact.
