What a beautiful wedding we had yesterday.

A day filled with a picnic big enough to feed the 5,000, the grandest entrance we’ve ever seen, the brides beautiful handmade cakes, magic in every sense of the word, the most gorgeous and artistic wedding favours, the friendliest contractors we’ve ever worked a wedding with and the most wholesome guests.

A Saturday to beat all Saturdays at Coldham Hall.

We had the absolute pleasure of getting to know the couple, hosting and witnessing the marriage of these two beautiful brides. To say it was a special day is an understatement.

We could feel the love and appreciation in the air that these wonderful women have for each other as well as the love their family and friends have towards them.

A day of music, baby Guinness, a phenomenal saxophonist, the biggest charcuterie spread a beautiful family and watching our very own celebrate Lisa and Kate.

Thank you for choosing Coldham Hall for your venue, our gorgeous girls that worked out front enjoyed every minute and didn’t want to go home!

Kate and Lisa, we wish you all the happiness and love in the future and can’t wait to see you again (with Winnie obviously)❤️

Reading 44 degrees today without anything on in the kitchen.

But we’re here! Still pouring pints and serving a special summer menu, trying to make a bit of fun out of this hot weather 🔥

For the next few days we shall be running a different menu. Dishes that are a lot lighter, more refreshing and will help the kitchen cope with this heat!

The kitchen has been reading over 38 degrees today and that is WITHOUT the fryers and oven on 🥵 if we were to serve our normal menu you could easily add another 10-15 degrees.

We’re looking after the wellbeing of all of our staff members whilst maintaining quality, smiles and a great service. We’re working as hard as we can in this heat so please be patient and kind while we do our best.

We hope to see you this weekend, there is a beautiful breeze coming off the river.

A big thank you to our staff, you’re AMAZING! Ice creams all round!
