Courtisans landed in our library a few months ago and has proved to be a massive hit, getting both loads of table time in the cafe and flying off the shelves in our shop 🛍️
It’s for 2-5 players and takes place at the Queen’s banquet table with multiple families hoping to end up with the most influence 👑
Gameplay is really simple, you get and play three cards each turn. One is played around the Queen’s table, impacting the standing of one of the families either positively or negatively. One is played in your area, ideally scoring you points at the end of the game and the third is played in an opponent’s area impacting their scoring 👀
If a family is in favour with the Queen at the end of the game, you each get points for cards from that family in your area. But for every card you have from a family who has fallen from grace you lose points ❌
Taking turns is so simple and there are a few extra mechanics to keep things interesting such as allowing you to play a card face down so nobody knows what you’ve done!
