Anyone else find working from home fine some days and soul-destroying others? Turns out a lot of you do - it's one of the most common things we hear from local remote workers: needing somewhere different to go, even just once a week or fortnight, to stay sane.

That's exactly what Marina Mondays is for. £15 for the day gets you wifi, power points, unlimited hot drinks, and a change of scenery - plus our brunch and lunch menu running all day.

We're starting something new at Oakwood Marina - every week we'll be snapping polaroids of the dogs who visit us (with their owner’s permission obvs.), and one lucky pup gets crowned Dog of the Week (chosen by us, purely on vibes). Their human gets a free hot drink to say thanks for the good company.

All pics go up on our Waggy Wall of Fame - so next time you're in with your dog, keep an eye out for them.

Meet the roaster: James from Duda Coffee ☕

We're proud of the suppliers we work with, and there's always a good story behind them. James grew up just down the road in Delamere Forest, spent over a decade in Brazil building relationships with coffee growers, and came home to Cheshire to start roasting it all himself in a converted stable in Antrobus.

The result is coffee that's genuinely good - and one we're happy to serve in our cafe.

So next time you're in for a brew, now you know the story behind it.

Throughout September, we've got a special offer on our bell tents — £120 for a weekend (Friday & Saturday night), or £100 midweek for two nights.

Each tent's fully furnished with a double bed, memory foam mattress and a cosy duvet, plus bedside tables, blankets and battery lights to keep it homely. Sleeps up to 4, dogs welcome, and you're set within 30 acres of countryside overlooking the marina — with full toilets, showers and laundry on site, and our tea room just along the canal if you fancy a coffee and a sit down.
