We’re back open tomorrow ! And even though we only landed in Davenham at 4 pm…. The Dragon has whizzed up (in a mere 1.5 hours) a delicious red pepper & tomato soup, to be served with shavings of Parmigiano and croutons, it doesn’t get any better than this… 🍅🍅🍅

Freshly cooked loin of pork, honey roast gammon and chicken breast all hand sliced for tomorrow’s service, and we cannot wait to see you!

It may be winter outside… but in the shop it’s Spring .. 🤣😝💨☔️💧☁️

We’ve had a beautiful Spring, a very warm summer, sweltering at times, Autumn is here, and. even today, 21 degrees, so what’s that all about !

But it’s lashing it down now, and so we thought we’d pop a post on to remind you that, near, far, wherever you are and our Yorkshire puddings, ( pause ) are waiting for you ooohooo anyone hearing Celina Dion right now ..😝)

We are doing Yorkies, they’re the best, and still doing salad boxes, jacket spuds, wraps, rolls, toasties, subs, paninis, butties, and soup, as they are our staples, we do it all, as much as we can: and we are always so thankful for your custom, whether it’s a coffee and a chat, a cake or anything else., because without you, there is no us.

As a family run business, we offer private catering in the home, with a difference; we offer a more personal experience: we talk your requirements through with you by telephone, or we can visit you at your home or meet you in our shop, if preferred to understand any dietary requirements and discuss the menu choices with you in person.

Who do we cater for & what do we do?

✨ Pre-wedding breakfasts for brides and Grooms to be, getting ready for their special day.

✨Gatherings for wedding anniversaries & baby showers at home including hot food eg: casseroles, hotpots. curries, jacket potatoes & rice or pasta to accompany ( separate menu available upon request)

✨ Children’s party food, including table decor & party boxes to take home

✨ Home wake buffets: a unique catering service for families whom might wish to spend time together in the comfort of their homes.

✨ Business meeting platters of sandwiches & savouries and artisan cake bites.

Good morning lovely folk.

🐝how are we all !

We appreciate changing times, days of trading can make it difficult and we don’t want wasted journeys visiting us if we aren’t open, so Just to let you know that due to popular demand we are bringing back opening on Wednesdays!

However. A tiny change for this week only that we will be open tomorrow from 9:30 am.

Whilst weekends appear to be a time to rest & relax…. Not so… Suzy the Soup Dragon has been busy making a delicious batch of
TUSCAN TOMATO SOUP, which is delicious topped with a cheese & homemade croutons, and add a slice of toasted sourdough, and at the grand total of £4:75 what’s not to love.

A reminder that we cater for any occasion whether that’s a pre-wedding breakfast for the bride or groom et al, when they’re getting ready, for funeral wakes held at home should you wish to spend time gathered as a family together in the comfort of your own home, we can provide sandwich platters for meetings,and all are freshly made, then dropped to the door (in poly crates ) ready for you to serve at your leisure.

A P P L E S are falling and these beauts are from the garden of our gorgeous new neighbours Emily & Jordan, in the old school in the centre of the village… 🍏🍎🍏 and we can’t wait to make something dejicioos with them..!!

If you have any apples to spare… we’d be happy to have a bagful, but a reminder we are away next eeek, and don’t reopen until 7 September, but please DM me and we will happily collect upon our return.

Oooh, we are having a cake sale today, with whole slabs of Victoria sponge for £8:50 ( that’s £2:25 a portion 🍰) and Monster Cookie & Monster Brownie box of 4 for £10:00 ( saving £1 per portion ) what’s not to love for the bank holiday weekend.
