Iāve known Dom for many years, and itās hard to put into words how much he meant to us, both personally and to El Piloto.
From the very beginning, he was there. He helped us build the food truck kitchen, even when he wasnāt well himself. Iāll never forget him standing with us in the freezing cold, in the middle of winter, fitting the most awkward sink in complete darkness with nothing but a torch. He never complained he just wanted to make sure we were ready for our first event.
He helped us in countless ways, never asking for anything in return. Always the first to like our posts, always telling people about El Piloto, and always quietly supporting everything Steph and I were trying to build. I know he was proud of what weād created together, and knowing that means a lot to us.
When we realised we couldnāt tow the trailer to our very first event in Leeds, Dom didnāt hesitate. He lent us his campervan with a tow bar so we could get there. We even slept in it that freezing January weekend safe to say it was cold! but we had a proper laugh, and none of it would have happened without his help. That first gig got us a lot of work.
He visited us countless times, brought people to see us, spread the word, and believed in us long before many others did.
On a personal level, Iāll miss our chats. Dom was a man of few words, but we could sit together, put some great music on, and that was enough for both of us. Those moments will stay with me.
Thank you for everything, Dom. Iām incredibly grateful and privileged to have known you and to have had you as such a big part of our journey.
Rest easy, mate. Take it easy up there. šš«”
