With 2025 lambing now underway here at Little Bo’s Gelato HQ, it seems a good opportunity to tell you a little more about us…
As with all mammals, in order for a ewe to produce milk (for us to make into gelato 😋), she has to have one or more lambs. In traditional dairying offspring are raised away from the dam 🍼 but we work a little differently around here. During that crucial early period we will leave them be, then once the lambs are a little older and are able to eat other food 🌱 we will “share” the milk with them i.e. take what’s spare! It’s a win win situation - the lambs thrive, we get some delicious milk and there’s minimal stress for both mum and lamb(s) 🤩 any questions? Drop us a message 💌
