⚠️ Blue-Green Algae Alert ⚠️

Blue-green algae has been identified in the reservoir at Daventry Country Park.

Please avoid entering the water and keep children and dogs away from the reservoir. Blue-green algae can cause illness in people and serious harm to dogs if contaminated water is swallowed (directly or through licking their fur after a swim).

🐕‍🦺Hot weather & dog walking reminder 🐕‍🦺
With the warmer weather, please help keep your dogs safe by walking them early morning or later in the evening when temperatures are lower.

A reminder that a Public Spaces Protection Order (PSPO) is in place across the park:
Please pick up after your dog and carry bags
Dogs must be kept on leads where required (including near the café and in the car park)
Dogs are not permitted in the play areas
Failure to follow these rules may result in an on-the-spot £100 fine.

🏊A reminder that the reservoir is not safe for swimming outside of the organised, lifeguarded sessions.

Even on warm days, the water can be dangerously cold with unseen risks below the surface. If someone is in trouble in the water, remember; Phone, Float, Throw.

Enjoy the bank holiday weekend and the start of the summer days ahead🌞
