Claire is our new neighbour, located in the courtyard just a couple of doors down from the cafe.
Claire has created a wonderful space selling not only flowers and plants but cards and gifts too 🌸🌷

Kitchen & Front of House Team Member
(You must be 18 or over)

2 week days plus cover as and when required 9am-close (4.30pm approx)

We are looking for a hardworking and enthusiastic part time Café Team Member to join our small, friendly team!

About the Role:

As part of our team, you’ll be responsible for:
• Food Preparation & Service – Preparing and serving high-quality food in our kitchen.
• Drink Preparation – Making and serving hot and cold drinks (barista training provided).
• Customer Service – Greeting customers, taking orders accurately, and providing a welcoming experience.
• Cleanliness & Organisation – Maintaining clean and hygienic workspaces across all areas of the café.
• Stock Management – Monitoring and ordering stock

About You:

We’re looking for someone who is:
• Conscientious & Responsible – Takes pride in their work and delivers to a high standard.
• Reliable & Trustworthy – Can be depended on to work efficiently and independently.
• Team Player – Works well with others and contributes to a positive team environment.
• Able to Work Alone – Comfortable managing tasks independently when required.

🎉today is The Courtyard Cafe’s 3rd birthday 🎉🥳

3 years of coffee, chaos, and somehow reaching the 3 year mark.

What started as a bit of a gamble has turned into a place full of familiar faces that continue to support us week in week out.

To everyone who’s queued, chatted, brought their dogs, spilled things, broken things, stayed too long, ordered extra hot coffee, made us repeat “do you want that on white or brown bread?” for the whole order,
held up the till when we are busy,
asked for “just a coffee”, asked for a takeaway then sat down to have it, said your order before we log in to the till,
ordered decaf (we forgive you), asked when we close then stay 15 minutes after we close, just know we love it all and we are so glad you keep coming back — you’ve made this what it is.

Still learning, still grafting, running on fumes and caffeine but still going!

To the team YOU ARE THE BEST EVER and I can’t say this enough. All of you work so hard, I’m lucky you’re all here!
