I have learnt a lot in the difference between being a sole trader here at TPP and being a limited company with my cafe.
VAT is one, if not the main killer of small businesses ATM.
We are handing 20% of the turnover straight away, then we are taxed at 20% tax on ANY profit. That’s 40% to HMRC ….it feels sometimes “what’s the point” but I hang in there knowing CHANGE must happen and with the power of voting, protesting, signing petitions CHANGE will come.
Keep the high street alive, keep hospitality and people in work with locally sourced produce etc etc!
