Did you know that when you treat yourself to one of our delicious homemade cakes and bakes, you’re also supporting charity? 💛

That’s right — we’re a charity café, and the money you spend with us helps support the work of the Armed Forces Equine Charity. 🐴💚

Our cakes and bakes are made with real ingredients, baked with care and packed with proper homemade flavour — just the way cake should be! 😋🍰

And we couldn’t do what we do without our amazing volunteers, who give their time to help us keep the café running. 🫶

So next time you pop in for a coffee and cake, remember… your little treat is helping make a difference. 💛

☕️💛 LOOKING FOR A BASE FOR YOUR GROUP? 💛☕️

Perhaps you’re looking for somewhere relaxed and welcoming to meet during the week? We may be able to help! 🫶

Our café is open 10am–3pm on weekdays, and we’d love to welcome local groups and community gatherings.

🐾🎂 BENTLEY’S BIRTHDAY PARTY IS BACK! 🎂🐾

Last year we had the absolute pleasure of hosting Bentley’s first birthday party here at the café… and this year he’s having a repeat! 🎉🐶💛

📅 Sunday 27th September
⏰ 12pm–2pm
📍 Armed Forces Community Hub & Café

All well-behaved dogs and their humans are very welcome to come along and join the celebrations! 🐾

🐕 The dog agility course was a HUGE hit last year and great fun, so we’re looking forward to seeing lots of our four-legged friends having another go!

🦴 There’ll also be a stall selling lots of lovely treats for your pups.

☕ And of course, the café will be open with hot & cold food and drinks, plus plenty for the dogs too:

🌭 Dog sausages

It’s sure to be a lovely afternoon of waggy tails, treats and birthday fun! 🎂🐕💛

It was so lovely to see our weekly Dog Walk & Meet-Up back last Sunday! 🐶 We’ve definitely missed seeing all the familiar faces (and waggy tails!) around the café. 🥰🐾

Thank you to everyone who joined us — old friends, new faces and all the gorgeous pups. It was wonderful to see everyone enjoying the walk and catching up again. 💛

And the best news… we’re back again tomorrow! 🎉🐶

🥚💛 GOOD EGGS! 💛🥚

We thought it was time to give a little shout-out to something that goes into so many of the things we make here at the Armed Forces Café… our eggs! 🥚🐔

We’re lucky to source our fresh, free-range eggs locally from Redenham Egg Hut, helping us keep things local and supporting a brilliant nearby supplier. 🌿💛

Our eggs are used in our breakfast baps 🍳🥓 and in all of our freshly homemade bakes and cakes 🎂🧁 — so they’re a pretty important part of what comes out of our kitchen!

There’s something rather lovely about knowing that the eggs in your breakfast or slice of cake have come from just down the road. 🥰

Local ingredients, homemade with love and served up at your community café. ☕️💛

Looking for something creative to do next Thursday? Join Twisted Glass by Sandra for a relaxing and enjoyable Fused Glass Lantern Workshop at The Army Hub Café. 🏮

🗓 Thursday 17th September
🕑 2:00pm – 4:00pm
📍 The Armed Forces Community Hub & Café, Arcot Road, Tidworth, SP9 7AH

During this hands-on workshop you’ll design your own stunning fused glass lantern using beautiful coloured glass. No experience is needed – Sandra will guide you every step of the way. ✨

✨ £35 per person (includes all materials)
✨ £15 non-refundable deposit secures your place
✨ Your finished lantern will be kiln-fired and ready to collect approximately 10 days after the workshop.

🐾 Not my usual type of post this morning but I offered to help because this sweet boy deserves so much, we all fall in love every time he visits us at the cafe 🐾

💛 It’s time to help Max find his perfect forever home. 💛

Max is a gorgeous, gentle 7-year-old Anatolian Shepherd/Kangal mix, rescued from the streets of Turkey and now happily settled in foster care in Wiltshire.

He’s a big, brindle Turkish Delight who is wonderfully laid-back, affectionate and, most importantly, very lazy! 😴 He loves his food, comfy bed, garden naps and human company.

🏡 What Max is looking for:
• A calm, loving, child-free home
• Someone who understands that he needs his space respected, particularly when sleeping
• He can live as an only dog or with another calm, friendly dog
• A home where he can enjoy plenty of company, cuddles and relaxed days

🐶 Max is house-trained, walks beautifully on the lead and is great in the car. He loves going to cafés and pubs and will happily settle down while you enjoy a coffee. He enjoys walks and can go off lead in suitable areas, although he is very friendly and likes to say hello to everyone!

He lives happily with other dogs and is a polite, gentle boy who prefers dogs with good manners rather than those who rush into his face.

Max has clearly had a difficult past and can be startled by sudden movements around him when he’s resting, so he needs understanding, predictable humans who will give him the space and reassurance he deserves.

💛 The lovely bonus: His foster carer is happy to continue looking after Max for holidays in the future (for local-ish adopters), so you’ll never have to worry about kennels or leaving him with strangers.

There is absolutely no pressure to take Max — it has to be the right match for both him and his new family. He is a funny, sweet, loving boy who deserves a safe and happy forever home. 🥰
