It’s time to say goodbye
After a lot of thought, plenty of conversations with myself and probably far too many coffees, I’ve made the decision that it’s time to close our doors.
With the lease coming up for renewal, it feels like the right time to close this chapter rather than commit to another chapter when my heart and head are telling me it’s time to move on. Not to mention to do what’s best for you too, the customer. You need someone who is consistent, whose heart is in it 110%.
The truth is, running a small independent business in today’s world is hard. Really hard. The costs, the pressures, the insanely saturated market, the uncertainty and the constant feeling of having to keep pushing just to stand still can take its toll on everything - financially, personal life, physical and mental health.

So, to every single person who has ever bought a coffee, eaten a donut, brought a friend, attended a workshop, supported an event, shared a post, recommended us, checked in on me or simply walked through that door — thank you.
Thank you for making R Place what it was. Thank you for supporting a little independent coffee shop and more importantly for supporting me. I genuinely couldn’t have done it without you.
For now, I’m just incredibly grateful that I got to do this and so incredibly grateful for you all ♥️ Here’s to R Place, what an adventure it’s been ☕️🍩
