💛 A heartfelt farewell from Buttercup Café 💛
After a lot of reflection, the time has come for Buttercup Café to close its doors and for us to move on to a new chapter.
Buttercup has been so much more than just a café. It’s been a wee hub for the community — a place for familiar faces, shared stories, laughter, comfort, and connection. The bonds formed here, the conversations over coffee, and the sense of togetherness are what made Buttercup truly special.
I want to say a heartfelt thank you to every single person who walked through our doors over the years — our loyal customers, our local community, and everyone who supported us in big and small ways. You helped shape Buttercup into the place full of warmth, connection and care.
A very special thank you also goes to our wonderful team, past and present. Your hard work, care, and warmth helped create the atmosphere that so many people loved. Buttercup simply wouldn’t have been what it was without you.
This decision hasn’t been an easy one, but it’s the right step at this point. Sometimes, moving on is about honouring what’s been, while making space for what’s next.
🕊 Our final day of opening will be Friday 9th January 2026.
Thank you for being part of the Buttercup’s story. It will always hold a very special place in our hearts.
With gratitude and love,
Tanya & the Buttercup team 💛
